True, pasta with el pesto or trophies is really a goodness
yes
They accept reservations only for groups of 6 and only on message to rock
Yes!!
It is an inexpensive, abundant portions. I spent 35 in two with 2 first, 2 seconds (of fish) and a water.
Accept reservations only for groups of more than 6 people
Bread and tulips .... In the center, search with Google ....
There is paid parking in the aquarium area. Free in the center on Sundays, but not close, about a quarter of an hour on foot.
Dogs are accepted. However, I advise you to evaluate your choice because the environment is small and most of the time you share the table with other diners. Something more than pleasant at times, but I happened to witness scenes of people who did not like the presence of animals alongside.

Delicious food! No wonder why it's so famous and won world championship's, Pesto Genovese is super delicious at Cavour 21 and a must try when in the beautiful city of Genoa!
Definitely a must try!! Amazing ligurian pesto, very reasonable prices. We got lucky and were sat outside right away, but as we ate more and more people were waiting for a seat so I would recommend making reservations. Either way definitely worth it! They also sell their pesto, we bought a couple of jars to bring back to Milan with us. The focaccia con pesto is a must, their pesto is fresh and delicious. Our pasta dishes were both very good as well. Needless to say we will definitely be coming back next time we're in the area.
best pesto of the world.amazing food and cozy atmosphere with a fair price.Go early because the queue is long
Amazing restaurant with a great price-quality ratio. Best pesto I have ever tried and even the desert. Definitely first option to have a meal in Genova.
The traditional location is full of atmosphere , but be prepared to que. Their food is wholesome and packed full of flavor. It is probably the best pesto l have tasted. My wife seldom let's us come back to a restaurant when we are on holiday ,as you want to try everywhere, but we had to make a second visit here for lunch on the day we left Genoa last September. You can also buy their delicious pesto to take away. Very reasonable prices.
The place looks tiny when you walk in... But it has an incredible warm feel and actually feels spacious when you go to the seating area. Staff is so generous and warm, as customer you're their main focus! Very busy, always fully packed but nobody minds it! The food is just awesome! Had starters, pasta, seafood / vegetable... Dessert... All were just perfect! Thumbs up! And a 5-star every time!
Great food served quickly. Could have used a little seasoning in the pesto but still pretty good. Spaghetti vongole was perfect and had a generous portion of clams. Service is rude and charmless.
Typical genoas meal, good quality, good price. Really recommend. Just an advise: you must arrive as early as possible cause you couldn't be able to book a seat
A hidden gem that you might easily not find. Great homemade pasta and pesto!
The food is fine but one of the servers is impolite and unprofessional.
Amazing food. Crowded a bit annoying. Take out is always better. April 2020
Food was reasonably priced. Really delicious! Would definitely come again someday
Athough there was a queue we did not have to wait for long however I have to mention the waiters could be nicer... The prices & portion of pasta is decent! We had focaccia e pesto for starter, trofie al pesto and fritto misto di mare. They were all delicious.
We also ordered a cheesecake and a tiramisu for dessert and the bill was €57 for 4 people which we thought was really good. Service was quick and we were so stuffed when we finished. When we walked out of the restaurant there was a long line of queue waiting outside to be seated. We were really lucky and really enjoyed the entire meal!
Just amazing food. Definitely recommend going there. Expect waiting times even at 10pm at night. But the wait is totally worth it.
ONly 5 stars available here but they deserve more ! I was taken by one of the curators of the Banksy show after giving a talk and the Food AND the staff were amazing. Friendly & a TRUE , local eatery that I hope stays true to itself. Packed , in that nice friendly bubbly noisy way with small rooms full of tables on different levels , everyone loving their food and SO Reasonable. The following day I took a Milanese accountant there and another fabulous meal. A memorable ( for all the right reasons) TREASURE of a find.
Homely food, very well done.
Excelent food and fair price!
Good food at a very good price 👌
Their pesto is not a joke, it's SOOOOO GOOD! I even bought a big jar of their pesto after the meal! 😁😁😁
Excellent food at low prices. Food is served quickly and staff very friendly
The interior is poor. But it doesn't matter, because food is great, really great. And prices are so cheap, for two pasta, starter and 500 ml of wine we paid just 21 euros. The place is very popular, so be ready for waiting from 30 min to 1 hour. We are lucky and we didn't wait even minute. This place is not for romantic dinner and dates. It's very crowded and loud.
Excellent pasta and sauces. Fish goujons were superb. High rating is worth it. Calamari OK but not the best we've had. Service a bit rushed as there is a queue out the door, so get there for 7pm. Was asked to drink up and pay just after finishing our main which usually isnt a good sign for the future. Restaurant hot except for the Aircon part upstairs. Nice staff and very quick on service delivery. Eat and out!
Absolutely great service and the best pesto ever! The lasagna ❤️ And they served free wine while I was waiting for my turn. 🙈 Sold!
Very nice place. Good pesto as expected. Long queue but worthwhile. Friendly service. Other dishes good but not exactly special.
Basic Italian home made dishes. They is always a wait, so be there early. They don't serve coffee, so you don't stay long. There are inexpensive. Good deal.
Perfect Genovese pesto pasta for reasonable price. I loved it. Staff was nice and kind. Book a table, if you can, otherwise you could face waiting. However they do take away service aswell, if you don't want to wait for a table. I could eat this pasta all day, grazie!
Rude staff, no wine glass for wine?!? loud AC, and there was a stone (!) in my pasta which I bit on. Their response: "oh".... overrated, oberhyped place, had better pesto elsewhere easily... would not recommend! Absolute joke
Best ravioli I've ever had
Excellent place! Cheap, good and abundant. Staff is super efficient and nice! We had 2 main dishes, 1 bottle of wine and 2 desserts for 30 eur. They don't charge extra fee per covert. I'd recommend to reserve with anticipation
We had a typical dish with pesto and raviolis. Everything was super tasty for really good prices. Our waiter was very attentive and kind. This place is very small so if you arrive late you have to wait to get a table. If you are not starving is worth the wait.
